Stand Up! (1163) is a standing practice that will get you moving from top to toe. We start with some upper body mobility work and then work our way down to some wide legged squats and footwork. Then we head to the wall to address the hips and hammies.
Livestream Replay: Tuesday 23rd June 2020 (1161) We start off in this session with some standing work to get the shoulders and hips moving, then move into some balance work and an exploration of how the shoulders bear weight. Then we really slow it down for some somatic movement for the shoulders to release tension.
Upper Body Reset (1158) This session is designed to get your upper body moving. We focus on the shoulders and upper back to ease out tension from sitting at the computer, using your phone and all the other things that can impact upper body tension!
Livestream Replay: Sunday 28th June 2020 (1164) In this livestream replay we work on shoulder mobility, core support and hip mobility, all while using a small weight (or weighted object like a water bottle or tinned soup).
Livestream Replay Tuesday 2nd June 2020 (1157) Walk This Way ... In this session we explore the cross body pattern of walking. We explore somatic exercises to find ease in cross-body rotation and also work on upper body pulling strength and rotation.
Roll Roll Roll Your Body (1159) In this session we focus on functional core strength. We play with cross body, front body and back body strength, and bring it all together with some rolling - which is the functional core move of them all!
Replay of our May 2020 Masterclass - The Habit of Habit on the Yoga Mat (1150).
In this session we talk about what movement habits are and how they can influence the way we hold and exacerbate tension - even on the yoga mat. We discuss the most common habits and how to identify and move beyond them, as well as why it's important to consider the brain and nervous system when we set out to change the way we feel.
Livestream Replay: Wednesday 13th May 2020 (1153) In this session we take it back a notch to explore the movement of the hip and back and why it's important to differentiate them to find more ease in both. We move slowly, with intention and curiosity.
